Music Theory for All Instruments

Wednesdays at 6:30pm beginning March 22 for 8 weeks

Expand your understanding of the workings of music starting with the basic building blocks and progressing to more intermediate and advanced understanding of the workings of music.

 

In this class you will learn about intervals, constructing major and minor scales, how to build chords/harmonies from these scales, simple chord substitutions and more. We will discuss appropriate terminology to facilitate ease of communication with other musicians. We will also explore practical applications or the knowledge. You will develop a broader vocabulary and a greater understanding of the fundamentals of how music works.

 

Prerequisite: Instrument level 2
