One of the main problems for the intermediate guitarist is the ability to take a melody and improvise with it. In this class, we will be taking well-known song melodies and breaking them down to give the student a comprehensive look at how to construct improvised solos based on pre-existing melodies. If you've ever been in a jam session and wanted to take a break on "Nine Pound Hammer" and had no idea where to start, then this is the class for you. This is an essential skill for the time-honored practice of participating in jam sessions as a guitarist.
