Nick was born and raised here in Saint Louis. Nick began playing violin in elementary school, but then discovered bluegrass music through a friend’s house concert. He began taking lessons from Justin Branum, a Grand Master Fiddling Champion. Since then, Nick has competed in numerous fiddle contests such as the Tennessee State Fiddling Championship, the Twin Lakes National Fiddle Championship, and the Grand Master Fiddling Championship in Nashville. Nick has been fortunate to study with world-renowned musicians such as Megan Lynch Chowning, Buddy Spicher, Eli Bishop, and Luke Price. Nick loves Western Swing music and Texas-style fiddling, and one of his favorite bands is the Time Jumpers.
Nick also plays tenor saxophone in a student-led jazz combo at Ladue Horton Watkins High School.
