Open to all instruments and singers and designed for students who have already completed Ensemble 1. This class will continue to help you develop your skills for playing with other musicians in jam and band settings. We'll look a little deeper at developing "parts" for songs on your instrument and how to speak some of the language of music so you can quickly communicate and understand chord changes and melodies. We'll look at singing and vocal harmony. We'll get more in depth on back up and lead playing and how to recognize what other musicians are doing during songs so you can add to the tune instead of just "playing along". By the end of the class, students will have a strong understanding of how their instrument fits into different genres of music and different kinds of tunes.
