Clarence White was one of the most important guitarists of the 21st century. Along with Andres Segovia and Django Reinhardt he was one of the few guitarists that reshaped his respective genre. In this class, we will be learning White's signature guitar style in the context of his work with the Kentucky Colonels, Muleskinner, solo, and more. Special emphasis will be given to his linear flatpicking style and also his signature cross-picking technique.

Solos that Clarence recorded have been transcribed by the instructor to an incredible level of accuracy and will be presented in class. Recording and bootlegs will be presented and dissected from the instructor's extensive archive of audio. Instruction on White's syncopated rhythm style will also be addressed. If you ever wanted to learn some of the secrets from the all-time master of flatpick guitar, now is your chance.
