Hi Folk School community,
Thank you to all of you who have participated in our online Spring Class Session and our weekly Saturday Sessions on our Folk School Facebook Page. We have loved getting to interact with you. If you haven’t had a chance to check out Saturday Sessions, please head to the Folk School Facebook Page to see videos from past Sessions and to get into upcoming Sessions.
As the city and county look to slowly begin reopening, we want to let you know that KDHX has developed our own reopen plan. The plan consists of four phases with each phase allowing for increased in-person interactions. Our primary goal is the safety and well being of ALL who engage in person with KDHX in our main building, at the Folk School, and through any partnerships. Even as we may see others increasing their in-person interactions, KDHX will move very slowly to do so and we appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to make the best decisions we can for the health of our full community.
Based on our reopen plan, the earliest that Folk School could potentially host in-person classes is in the fall. Our Summer Session will be hosted as online classes and the session will be open for enrollment later this week. We’re excited to present our summer session to you. Folk School instructors have been working to hone best practices for teaching online and we even have a couple of guest instructors joining us for the session!
We look forward to “seeing” you in our summer session.
