Folk School Fall 2020 Session
Hi Folk School Community,
We here at the school are hard at work planning our fall class session. We are celebrating a solid enrollment for our summer session and are working to make the experience as wonderful for students as we can.
All along, we’ve been carefully monitoring coronavirus updates and have consulted recently with local health officials about the possibility of carefully reopening the school. Through these consultations, we recognize that due to the layout and size of the classrooms at the school, we cannot safely offer a session of in-person classes. We also recognize that singing together requires more than the standard six-feet of social distancing, making hosting group classes, especially ones that involve signing, a potentially unsafe situation.
While we look forward to the time when we can be together in person, we are excited to continue to offer online classes for our fall session. The fall session dates are August 24 - October 8. Registrations for fall classes will open next week on the Folk School website.
So that we may serve you to the best of our ability, we’d greatly appreciate you taking a couple of minutes of your time to fill out this survey and let us know your thoughts on online class instruction. We’d love to hear from you whether you’ve had the opportunity to take one of our online classes or not.
