Jacob Alspach

Jacob got his start playing in a local St. Louis band while in high school, winning an RFT award in the process. After college, he got a job playing animal and nature themed songs for kids at the St. Louis Zoo. Since then he has continued to sing for kids while teaching music at area preschools. He has played at events ranging from kid's parties to gigs at the St. Louis Art Museum. Jacob has been teaching the String Beans classes and various other classes at the Folk school since 2009. He specializes is early jazz and blues guitar styles and also plays ukulele, piano, and tenor banjo.
